May one person's story help another.

Heal the Abuse is a site to tell others of the struggles daily that survivors go through and the triumphs they find throughout the madness that goes on inside. This is a positive site, however remember these are real struggles, so there at times will be personal reflections in this site. It is solely designed to let others know you are not alone in the fight of dealing with what abuse has done in our life. I welcome any family members of survivors. This is your place too. Please feel free to add your story, it may help someone. We all learn from others. Healing begins within. Healing begins slowly.

There is information inside in regards to the battles of disorders also related to being an abuse survivor, for those who understand and those who do not. The effects are great in number. Life will love you back if you let it... dreams do come true. Let your higher power hold you in his/her hands. Memories will soon fade, forgiveness starts to play and you learn to breathe the air again. Stop and an enjoy life again.

Why did I start this site?

I consider myself an advocate, advocate of a human voice. Voices should be heard not silenced, and so many times voices are silent, due to people being afraid. I am a human voice of an abuse survivor. My voice speaks to those who have been abused or currently dealing with abuse issues.

Abuse is not your fault. Abuse is the abuser's fault. The abuser chooses to abuse or learns to abuse, but it is not your fault. Abuse is not asked for or welcomed, it just happens, and if this one voice of a survivor can make a difference in another person's life, then the many voices will gather and this subject will no longer be silent. Secrets will no longer be a family secret or secret that is held within a human soul. I was once a silent voice, I kept all the secrets inside. I learned through rough times and inner struggles, that I had a voice. Most important of all I had people in my life that cared and I did not have to struggle alone. If this one voice here can be your friend, then remember you are not alone. There are many voices to hear.

This site is a memory for you to know that there is a voice on your side and to remember we are survivors, we won a battle. Now is the time to take back your life and enjoy life. Let laughter fill your heart, let sorrow escape your soul. Never stop loving yourself, and never kill your spirit within. You are strong. Love life and life will love you back!
